World of Disney in New York City closes forever December 31, 2009

Stitch with Lady Minnie (Liberty)

Stitch’s Adventure Club urges anyone to visit the New York City (NYC) World of Disney (WOD) Store quickly before time runs out. We recently (quite late actually) found out that this awesome store in NYC is shutting it’s doors forever. The final day is December 31, 2009.

Stitch got to visit NYC and WOD in September 2007 and thought it was totally awesome.

Currently NYC World of Disney items are 60% off. Hurry before items run out for good.

Stitch and his Wranglers are extremely saddened by the news of the closing of this great destination. We wish all of the great cast members the best of luck and hope Disney opens another New York City destination store some day.

Longhorns shucked the 'huskers. Take time to smell the Roses

Stitch was hooked to the television last night watching the exciting Big 12 Championship between #3 Texas Longhorns versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Stitch was trying to break away for some coconut cake and coffee because it was so cold, but couldn’t because of the exciting nailbitter. Instead he ate up all of the Cheetos and his face was UT Orange.

He was very excited his friend Hunter Lawrence kicked the final field goal to let them win. Along with Colt McCoy being the winningest QB in Collegiate football history, I think Hunter has placed himself as a Legend in Texas Longhorn football history.

After the exciting win, Stitch decided to go celebrate with the rest of the UT football fans at the University of Texas Tower, glowing Orange. He even took his picture there.

Stitch would like to congratulate the Longhorns for their 2009 Big 12 championship win.

Hello Stitch fans!

Stitch's Adventure Club just wanted to give Stitch fans in North America the 411. In Stores now, for the holidays at your local Disney Store (North America only-for sure) is a cute Elvis Stitch Ornament for your Christmas or Holiday tree.

We at Stitch's Adventure Club like ornaments for year around decorations, it doesn't just have to be for Seasonal Decor. We especially appreciate the holiday neutrality of the Stitch ornament. Stitch dressed in a sparkly white jump suit with his guitar.

The price of the fashionably cute decoration is USA $9.50 CAN $12.50.

Disney Store's North America also have in stores a cute Stitch stocking and winter plush, but photos and prices are not available from us at this time. Call your local Disney Store or stop in for details.

We feel Stitch merchandise announcements in North America are very important, since Disney in the USA seems to have something against Mr. Stitch. Since we are based in the middle of the country for the most part, we do our best to give updates.

Aloha for now Stitch fans.

Stitch and club watches D23 from a distance (online)

Stitch's Adventure Club was not fortunate enough to visit D23 this year in Anaheim, Ca. It is sad, but hopefully we will be able to attend next year. We have been keeping up with feeds online, and it is exciting to read things happening with Disney.

First off, congrats to the new Disney Legends, Class of 2009. They are:

Tony Anselmo-Animator
Harry Archinal- former executive
Beatrice Arthur - of Golden Girls fame.
Estelle Getty - of Golden Girls fame
Rue McClanahan- of Golden Girls fame
Betty White - of Golden Girls fame (and Stitch's favorite Golden Girl)
Robin Williams - Genie from Aladdin (Stitch's favorite animated genie)
Don Iwerks -
Bill Farmer - voice actor
Leota Toombs Thomas - Imagineer (also known as Madame Leota from the Haunted Mansion)

Also, Disney Cruise Lines announced some new exciting itinerary to Alaska. Stitch's Adventure Club loves taking over a cruises ships, and we hope to be on one of those exciting cruises in the future.

And one last note Johnny Depp is coming back as Jack Sparrow sometime in 2011 in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Christmas train fun for Stitch?

Stitch loves travel. Right before Stitch was going to tell you about his latest Road Trip, Stitch just found out about Disney’s Whistle Stop tour for their upcoming November theatrical release of their live action 3-D Disney’s A Christmas Carol, starring Jim Carrey, directed by Robert Zemeckis.

This Whistle Stop tour consists of a 40 city exhibition by train of artifacts and interactive experience, with giveaways, carolers and lots of surprises.

Stitch might stop by one of the stops if he is near. Maybe you will find that the train stops in a town near you too.

Happy New Year!

Stitch just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Since the new year began, the only thing Stitch has done is tried to add to his collection of Cars stuff. Stitch has hard time finding toys during the new year. Too bad Lightning could not help me. Lightning is even having a tough time getting stuff.

See Stitch riding on one of my Wrangler's cd players. Since Lightning is off racing around the world, I have to pretend. :( Stitch sad. Stitch can not watch Lightning live.

Maybe someday. I have my pit pass and everything.

Race on McQueen!

Free park admission on your birthday in 2009

Aloha:

There is nothing Stitch likes more than Disney, except maybe free stuff. Flor-i-da is one of my homes, and holds a special place for me there. For the 2009 Disney season, they are celebrating BIRTHDAYS, yea! Stitch likes birthdays, especially coconut cake. Yummy. Disney Theme Parks is giving a birthday gift for people who celebrate their real birthday day at their US Theme Parks and those that sign up online. What is Disney giving as a gift? Free admission to a park. Yea!

The only thing about the Disney gift, is that you have to sign up online, and be there on your birthday. Nothing like a birthday at Disney. You get your specially birthday button or sticker (at City Hall) and have everyone treat you special.

If you are planning a birthday celebration at a Disney Theme Park (in the United States) for 2009, sign up on line and get your gift.

Even Lilo, who has an annual pass, can receive a gift (for passholders who already paid for admission throughout the year). It isn't free admission, but they have other options for passholders and multi-day pass people. Disney thought of everything this time. Good job theme park people.

Aloha for now.

Stitch

P.S. Click on the title of this blog, and it will take you to the Disney site to sign up. Good Luck, and Happy Birthday in 2009.
