Happy 10th Anniversary to Lilo and Stitch & Stitch’s Adventure Club

Now folks before there is an argument, there is a little discrepancy as to when Lilo and Stitch’s official release was.  It was either June 21^st, 2002 or June 22^nd, 2002 (but we really think it was the 21st).  Now there are several places that  have different dates, including pins, and books, so we are just going with both as the non-committal answer and posting our anniversary post sort of in between the two to be safe. ;)

We at Stitch’s Adventure Club are amazed at all of the Adventures we have been on since being introduced to the most awesome character Stitch and hope for many more fantastic adventures.

We also would like to give a shout out to Stitch’s voice and creator, Chris Sanders.  Without him, stitch would have never been born.

On behalf of our club we would like to thank you for being a fan of Lilo and Stitch, and most importantly Stitch and for you to urge the Walt Disney family of Companies to share their love of Stitch and produce more products, and programing.  IF he is out of sight, he can become out of mind, and we wouldn’t want that.  He has lasted for 10 bodacious years; let’s hope here lasts for many more decades to come.

Disney Store Celebrates 25 years of Creating Magic

On this day, March 28, 25 years ago, Disney Store first opened with special pixie dust in Southern California. Today there are many Disney Stores and through the years have been scattered throughout the world.

If you travel into a Disney Store today, a lot of the mainstream items will be 25% off, today only in celebration of this awesome occassion.

Earlier today, Disney Store’s were giving away these cool silver ears to the first 250 people in line. Stitch Wrangler Scorch sacrificed ears for Stitch (since they only give out ears to humans, no aliens. L ) Stitch LOVES his silver ears.

Disney Stores promote Earth Day 2010 with a freebie

Disney Stores, tomorrow (April 22, 2010) on the 40th Anniversary of the Earth Day celebration, are reaching out to Disney peeps throughout the US and Canada to promote saving the Earth and it's oceans. If you have a Disney Store in a shopping mall near you, bring 6 plastic recyclable bottles and you can get a free baseball cap for free (limit one per guest). It is a children's sized hat, but often times the "children's sized hats fit adults....it just depends.

The hat is blue (like Stitch) and says "Disney Friends for Change, make a wave". It is also made from 100% recycled materials and one website we read said it was made from the equivalent of 6 plastic bottles (we don't know if that is true though).

After you get your free hat, wear it in style and go see Disney's Earth Day release of Oceans in movie theatres. Oceans looks like a very cool movie about all Stitch's friends that live in the Ocean like Crush and Squirt. Dude, like totally, we need to save their home so we have good surfing.

So check out the Disney Store for your free (6 plastic recycleable bottles) ball cap and then head over to the movies to see Oceans.

Retrospective: Stitch’s Golden Ticket on a Hot Air Balloon

Today, I, Wrangler Scorch, was looking through the Stitch files, and found a lot of photos we haven’t shared. The following story was a very special moment in Stitch’s Adventure Club history.

During the Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary (now we are currently in it’s 55th year), the Stitch’s Adventure Club had a tip about the 50th anniversary hot air Balloon, Mickey with Golden Ears, being in different cities throughout the country. The adventure club had been on the Inaugural Panama Canal Cruise on the Magic (we have not shared that yet) and also been at Disneyland on July 17th. We had to follow the final “golden” opportunity. This was a press only event, but Stitch’s Adventure Club, was not a press organization, and actually didn’t even have a blog at the time. We were just a fan club. Through a little faith, trust, pixie dust and Disney magic (only current and former Cast Members truly know how this works), we appeared in Albuquerque, New Mexico, (Home of the Hot Air Balloon Festival) and Stitch used his golden opportunity to fly on the 50th DLR Hot Air Balloon, piloted by the first Disney female balloon pilot, Laurie Spencer and her husband Scott Spencer.
During the split two day event, Stitch got to meet the pilots, the ground crew, Mickey and Minnie and the 50th Anniversary Disneyland Ambassadors, while also meeting some new local friends.
We took a couple hundred pictures of the big day, but they wouldn’t all fit on Stitch’s Balloon Board of Fame. He rotates them . ;)Thanks to everyone involved in this awesome experience. It was the first time Wrangler Scorch had been around a hot air balloon and it was extremely exciting to see the balloon inflated and deflated. It was also special because it was Mickey (although it would have been better if it was Stitch). Stitch had a great time too, getting to ride the special 50th Golden Ears Mouse Balloon.

Please remember, we at the Stitch’s Adventure Club, have never had an insider connection to help us and currently get these opportunities just because we are simply the best at what we do; sharing and creating Disney Magic for all. Some people have inquired about insider connections, and we have not been privy. But if someone has an insider connection with Disney, a celebrity, or unique opportunity, that would be interesting for Stitch to partake in, we are all Ears (pun intended).
Some think we are crazy, but we are having fun creating our magical experiences for people of all ages.
